The Lockheed Vega 5 received her first update to version 0.04. Here’s a list of the new features and fixes.
- Special effects
The Lockheed Vega 5 now features effects that were expertly developed by FSFX Packages. The effects include new start-up smoke, landing light, touchdown effects, water spray, etc. - Two new liveries
The package now features a livery of the Alaskan airline Mirow Air Service and a fictional livery for our friends at The Sky Lounge - Fuel dump
You’ll find a fuel dump valve mounted under the wobble pump. - Walkaround Interface
A new panel is available now that enables you to perform a walkaround of your aircraft before your flight. - Expansion of the Prop-o-Tronic physics engine
Our physics engine also received an update. With this update we are able to accurately simulate the heat-exchange between various components of the engine. Some parameters still need some fine-tuning, but the algorithms work accurately. - Overhaul of the oil system
The lubrication module also received an update, pressure and flow parameters are calculated more accurately now. - Handheld radio
Based on popular demand we included a simple 2d gauge of a handheld radio. This needs to be activated manually though – please refer to the manual for instructions. - Overhaul of the vacuum system
I re-routed the plumbing of the vacuum system. The Venturi tube now only supplies the turn and bank indicator with pressure. - [bug fix] OOM bug
Sorted out the OOM bug in the FSX version of the aircraft. You will now be able to undertake longer flights without interruption. - [bug fix] Tie-downs
The tie-downs of the aircraft are now visible in the 3d model of the aircraft. - [bug fix] Wheel chocks
I implemented a new routine to hold the aircraft in place when the wheel chocks or the tie-downs are applied. It’s still not 100%, but I think a better solution to the problem compared to before. - Ashtrays
Ashtrays. You’ll see.
As announced, with the new update of the Vega, the price was raised by 5 Euros to reflect the additional functions and features implemented in this update.
